Petroleum-jelly or Vaseline is very combustible. Saturating cotton balls, or other fluffy tinder materials will create a quick-starting fire accelerant that is good in pretty inclement weather.

All you need is:

• Petroleum-jelly, or other product that contains petroleum-jelly like lip-balm (Chapstick)
• Cotton balls
