WARNING ICK-FACTOR AHEAD: If you are squeamish, or not into processing dead animals...IT IS OKAY TO NOT WATCH/VIEW THIS VIDEO/TUTORIAL.

Using the whole animal is a very important part of honoring the animal that has given up its life for our consumption - it is a conscientious way of showing respect. Here is a way of cleaning out the hooves of a cloven-hoofed animal such as a whitetail deer.

The hooves can be fashioned into rattles, buttons, or other ornamentation. The coffin bone or distal phalanges, aka toe-bones can be cleaned, sanded, and polished into ornamentation, or other types of tools.

FOR EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES.BE VERY CAREFUL WHEN HANDLING SHARP OBJECTS AND/OR WORKING AROUND A STOVE OR HOT WATER...SEVERE INJURY CAN OCCUR! ALSO, BE CAREFUL IN THE HANDLING OF RAW MEATS, IT IS BEST TO USE BLEACH AND WATER TO WASH DOWN COOKING SURFACES, TOOLS AND IMPLEMENTS BE FORE AND AFTER. I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE IF YOU CHOOSE TO TRY THIS AND HURT YOURSELF OR GET SICK.
